About Us

NNA Logo Social Media-03.png

NN Accountability started in 2012 when director, Nikoletta, realised that this industry needs professionals that have knowledge about the new trends, software, and where you can get everything in one spot.

Our team at NN Accountability Bookkeeping & Training Group recognises that industry trends are changing and cloud based systems have enabled business owners to manage their own books and better control their finances. Therefore we specialise in training small business owners and financial professionals to take full advantage of software such as Xero to understand their financial position.

We love what we do, we always keep learning and updating our knowledge. Nikoletta has over 10 years experience in both corporate and non-corporate businesses. With our great team of qualified professionals, we are offering outstanding and personal professional services.

Our Philosophy

We believe an accountant exists to support a business in becoming successful. And we strive to live up to this for each and every one of our clients.

At NNA we're here at your service - for your success.

Nikoletta Neal

Director & Senior Accountant

Nikoletta had the standard career path of becoming a bookkeeper, then an accountant. In addition to her bachelor of economics she has completed a masters in Professional Accounting at Central Queensland University.

First she was a Quickbooks specialist, providing bookkeeping and training. She always believed that online cloud platforms are the future and desktop software is the past. That is why she became a certified Xero advisor. She has worked as a Xero trainer at The Bookkeeping and Training Group in Sydney, before she established NN Accountability Bookkeeping and Training Group.

In 2014 she became a registered Tax Agent and refocused NN Accountability to become a true-blue Xero business, exclusively working with Xero.

She provides Xero training, integrations, setup/conversion and ongoing support to businesses with all Xero issues. She is a gold champion Xero advisor.  As she is passionate about Xero, her mission is to educate business owners to use Xero in the most efficient way.

After acquiring a Hungarian Economics Degree, tax advisor/external auditor qualification, six years of Hungarian Taxation Office experience, and an Australian Diploma of Accounting, Zsuzsa joined NNA in 2019 first as an intern and later as a fully-fledged bookkeeper. Today, Zsuzsa continues to serve as a valued NNA bookkeeper applying her passion for numbers, acute attention to details and commitment to best practice.

What Do Our Clients Have To Say?

"Very professional and brilliant service and ever so helpful. I would be happy to recommend Nikoletta to anyone."

Team Standards

Our bookkeepers are required to fulfill four standards – education, experience, testing & training:

  • Minimum of Cert IV in Finance-Bookkeeping

  • Minimum experience

  • Being registered BAS Agents

We had been let down by bookkeepers who claimed that they were, but we found the opposite was true when they started the processing. So we now use The Pure Bookkeeping Skills Assessment to test the applicant’s proficiency in MYOB and general bookkeeping skills.

As of March 1st 2010 the ATO regulated the bookkeeping industry. Now, all bookkeepers providing a BAS Service are required to register as a BAS Agent.

The requirements of a BAS Agent are:

  • Certificate iv in Financial Services – Bookkeeping or Accounting

  • Member of a recognised Professional Association

  • Over 1000 hours relevant experience

  • Professional Indemnity insurance

  • Ongoing Professional Development

What Does This Mean For You?

In the past, a bookkeeper was able to complete a MYOB or Quicken course and start charging for their services. Unfortunately, due to their lack of experience, they often left a mess. The client could do nothing about it except find someone else who, hopefully, would be able to clean up the mess. It is a costly exercise both financially and emotionally.
As a BAS Agent there is a professional Code of Conduct in relation to:

  • Honesty and integrity

  • Independence (acting lawfully)

  • Confidentiality

  • Competence

We are Registered BAS Agents so that may give you confidence in the numbers, but the team at NN Accountability Bookkeeping & Training Group believes that great bookkeeping is not just about getting the compliance right … it’s about empowering you around your finances!
